Artificial intelligence and compressed air
Compressed air start-up WRS and university launch joint project
The mix is diverse and promising: the young company WRS Energie is cooperating with the University of Stuttgart and several established industrial partners in the Invest BW project “Artificial Intelligence and Compressed Air”. Das Invest BW-Programm ist eine Initiative vom Land Baden-Württemberg, um innovative Vorhaben finanziell zu unterstützen. The project is being subsidized by the state with €500,000.
Employees of the University of Stuttgart and the start-up WRS Energie meet for a joint kick-off event.
The project partners introduce themselves
In addition to WRS Energie, the University of Stuttgart, the company IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH and another industrial partner are involved in the project. The project is supported by the state of Baden-Württemberg in the form of the Invest-BW program.
The teams behind the project
The project team consists of employees from WRS Energie and five research assistants from the University of Stuttgart. The associated industrial partners are also involved in the process. The expertise from customer requirements, compressed air know-how and experience in the field of artificial intelligence underline the competence of the project partners.
What exactly is it about?
Compressed air is one of the most expensive energy sources in industrial companies. At the same time, compressed air has an average savings potential of 30%. This potential often remains untapped. The project is developing a platform that analyzes and evaluates compressed air-specific measurement data using artificial intelligence. The results are combined with suitable solution proposals. The know-how will be bundled using software technology. The project will run for 24 months until the beginning of 2025.
